Curb Appeal

Love at first sight is alive and well - especially when it comes to buying a home.  The real estate people call it curb appeal, and it is becoming increasingly more important to the value of your home. These days, over 85 percent of buyers get their first look at a house from a picture on the Internet. If the "curbscape" is unappealing, many people don’t look any further.

You can spend a fortune implementing a full landscaping plan, or you can let a highly experienced gardener make the best of what you already have.  We can often recover and restore neglected flower beds, lawns and hedges.  Carefully selected plants and flowers can boost the curb appeal of you home significantly, at a reasonable price.

Gail Broten has studied gardening and landscaping extensively.  Even as a child and well into her teens, she worked with her grandfather in his greenhouses.  Her home and gardens have appeared on garden tours.  Gail specializes in restoration and the economies of perennial plantings.  She understands the need for low maintenance for some people, and how to create a spectacular annuals exhibit when required.

Here are some examples of her gardens and creations for you to enjoy.  Click each picture to enlarge.
